A provincial party has opened the discussion on helping with Alberta's economic situation.

Greg Clark, Leader of The Alberta Party says they want to hear from all Albertans about what financial decisions they're considering.

"What would you do to address some of these challenges because what I see from opposition parties...we see a lot of opposing, a lot of against, a lot of negative but very little proposing ideas."

Although part of the discussions does include a Provincial Sales Tax, Clark says it's more about how to properly balance the numbers.

"What if we cut Government spending responsibly, let's say 1 percent a year, and found real efficiencies but without hitting frontline services."

Clark also said that they have had great conversations with Albertans, including those from Rocky View.

"We're hearing those opinions from all over Alberta. From rural Alberta, from the big cities, to the mid sized cities like Airdrie. We're hearing that feedback and that is going to continue."
