Is your home fire safe?  The Airdrie Fire Department could be showing up soon to let you know.

AFD will launch the spring campaign of their Home Safety Program on April 10th.

During the program, fire crews go door to door in select communities to share information on key fire and life safety areas such as smoke alarms, home escape planning, CO detectors and fire extinguishers.

This year's spring campaign will focus on rural communities within Airdrie city limits and will include information on how to "FireSmart" rural and acreage properties.

The program starts April 10, and will run through the month in the rural communities of Croxford Estates, Buffalo Rub, Yankee Valley Estates and Dry Creek.
