If you find that your gas gauge is registering close to "E" after the long weekend, Airdrie is probably not a bad place to fill 'er up.

Prices in the city of Airdrie are trending about two cents per litre lower than the provincial average and are way lower than the rest of Canada, according to fuel price website GasBuddy.com.

Airdrie stations seem to have pegged their price, for now, at 97.4 cents per litre which is two cents lower than the provincial average of 99.4.  Filling up in the rest of the country, outside of Alberta, will set you back an average of $1.09.9 a litre.

GasBuddy reports that the price over the past week has fallen by an average of 0.2 cents per litre in Alberta but has risen one cent in the rest of the country.

If you're really looking to save money on a fill, the average price in Edmonton is 94.45 cents per litre, but the drive probably isn't worth it.
