Don't look now, but gas prices are on the rise in Airdrie.

Earlier this morning (September 27) prices in the city rose to 105.9 cents/litre, a jump of 14 cents from earlier this week.

The trend hasn't fully caught on at every station, with some still sitting at 91 cents.

The spike in fuel prices isn't surprising to gas experts, who predicted this would happen.

This week's outlook from Gas Buddy showed that prices in Alberta and most of the Prairies were expected to jump by the middle of this week.
