On November 29, Airdrie RCMP arrested 47 year old Michael Lamontagne.

Lamontagne was wanted on an Alberta-wide warrant for the robbery of a woman at gunpoint in Red Deer in November 11. Lamontagne approached a woman as she left her car, demanding money and displaying a gun. The woman got back into her car, and Lamontagne smashed the window and took the woman's backpack while the woman fled through the passenger side door. The victim was not hurt.

Later, Lamontagne was identified when he and a female accomplice were caught on video in a convenience store using the victim's credit card. The accomplice, Diane Fiddler, was arrested on November 17.

Lamontagne was remanded until his first court appearance on December 8, and made a second court appearance the morning of December 13 in Red Deer.
