More snow is on the way for Alberta, and for some areas, there could be lots of it!

Environment Canada has issued a Snowfall Warning for the Calgary region with up to 20 cms of snow expected by the time it tapers off on Tuesday.

Things are predicted to be even worse for the southwest corner of the province with a Winter Storm Warning in effect.

The Cardston, Pincher Creek and Waterton Park regions could get up to 40 cms of snow over the next 48 hours.

Things look slightly less dire for the Airdrie region with a mere 14 cms of snow likely.

The snow which has already fallen has left area roads a bit dicey.  511.alberta.ca is reporting that roads and hiways in the area are either covered in snow and ice or partially that way.

Plows and sanders are out doing their best to try to keep roads in passable condition, but there is a lot of blowing snow when passing them, so drivers should use extreme caution around the heavy equipment.
