City Hall will be the scene for the first Council meeting of the month tonight (June 5).

Domestic violence has been a big topic in Airdrie, and Council will hear from service providers in the city about levels of service and response to the issue. The results of a needs assessment survey for Genesis Place will be presented, and the consent agenda includes an update on an urban agriculture pilot project.

Also on the agenda tonight is the quarterly report from the Airdrie and Area Health Benefits Cooperative, an update from the Highland Primary Care Network, the results of a citizen's satisfaction survey regarding combative sports in Airdrie, and a public hearing and three readings of an amended Land Use bylaw.

The meeting will start at 6:00pm.
