The City of Airdrie is once again honouring their volunteers next year, but their looking for nominations right now.

Yesterday (November 9th), the City announced that it has opened nominations for the 2018 Volunteer of the Year Awards.

As in year's past, four awards are accepting nominations: The Leader of Tomorrow, The Soul of Airdrie, The Ambassador Award and the Volunteer Advocate Award.

Last year's recipients included mental health advocate Michael Loughman, local Cadet Ryland Kruk, Michelle and Rob Pirzek of the Festival of Lights and Propak Systems.

The nominations are open until January 15th, 2018 and you can find more at the Volunteer of the Year Awards website.
