It is Census time in Cochrane again, and all residents are asked to count themselves in.

Laurie Drukier, Town of Cochrane Senior Communications Advisor, says that "on April 3 every household in Cochrane will get a unique PIN number that will be delivered right to their door and they can go online to Cochrane.ca/census, put in the PIN Number, answer two quick questions and they are done."

The Census starts on  April 3 and runs until April 30 . For residents not able to complete the census online, enumerators will begin door to door census taking on April 17.

Drukier adds that the census information is used by the town to plan ahead for infrastructure and community needs, but it is also used by the provincial government to determine grant funding.

The 2016 census found Cochrane's population to be 25,122.
