City Council will reconvene this afternoon (November 20) for a Council meeting.

The public meeting will begin with an afternoon session at 3:30pm. The consent agenda includes an update on an urban agriculture pilot program. Council will also give final reading to a bylaw enacting a new ATCO gas franchise agreement, and will make amendments to the procedure bylaw.

Council will deal with two correspondence items. Volunteer Airdrie is asking the Council to recognize November 28 as Giving Tuesday in Airdrie. Council is also being asked to hold a menorah lighting in December to celebrate Hanukkah.

Following a recess, the evening session will begin at 5:30pm. Council will resume a public hearing for a land use amendment that will allow a commercial property to be built at 309 Main Street. Council will also make a decision on that land use amendment. Council will also hold a second public hearing for land use bylaw amendments in the upcoming Cobblestone Creek development.
