The CP Holiday Train is coming back to Airdrie tonight (December 7).

The free event is open to the public and will feature performances from Colin James and Emma-Lee. The train will set up at Nose Creek Park, and the viewing area will be on the east side of the train tracks beside the Nose Creek Valley Museum.

Because of expected crowds, the City of Airdrie will be running a shuttle to the event to help combat traffic. The shuttle will depart from City Hall to the park starting at 5:00pm and run every seven minutes. Return trips will be begin at 6:10pm. The last return shuttle will leave at 7:00pm.

Airdrie is the final stop of the day as the train heads south to Calgary after previous stops in Innisfail, Olds and Didsbury.

The train will be in Airdrie from 5:30pm to 6:45pm.
