Day seven of the Douglas Garland trial featured disturbing testimony about the collection of evidence from the Garland farm near Airdrie.

Most of the day belonged to Cst. Ian Oxton, who was a member of the forensic crime scene unit in 2014. Oxton helped retrieve evidence from the Liknes' home, the Garland's farm, and Garland's truck. Oxton said more evidence was collected for this case than any other he's worked on.

Most of Oxton's testimony centered on the evidence found at the farm, including a number of knives and other weaponry, restraints, electronics, books, documents and DNA evidence. Court adjourned just after 4:00pm, and Oxton will take the stand at the start of day eight.
