The Town of Didsbury and their Administration have provided an update into the current situation regarding their fire department.

Recently, several firefighters left the department citing safety concerns. This eventually led to the resignation of Fire Chief Craig Martin.

The Town has appointed Manager of Protective Services Deron Reimer as their Interim Fire Chief.

Council also said that they have completed a Third Party Fire Safety Audit that will be made available at the next Council meeting on October 9th.

Didsbury Administration is now moving forward with a plan to strengthen the Fire Department and help recruit more members.

Currently, there are 16 active members in the Didsbury Fire Department.
