Didsbury RCMP executed a search warrant on Wednesday (Aug 2) at a chop shop on Range Road 280A.

Police seized sevearl stolen items, including a dismantled Ford F-150, a dismantled Dodge Ram 1500, a New Holland lawn tractor, a Can-Am ATV, and a shotgun. They also seized firearms, nunchuks and a small amount of psilocybin mushrooms.

49 year old Robert Wade Verloop and 50 year old Wilson Gray Woodland have now been charged with several offenses including possession of stolen property over $5000, mischief over $5000 and possession of a stolen firearm. Verloop also faces charges of possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a controlled substance, whil Woodland was also charged with unsafe storage of a firearm.

Verloop was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Calgary Provinical Court on August 9. Woodland has been released and is scheduled to appear in Didsbury Provincial Court on August 21.
