With just four months until the Alberta Carbon Tax is implemented, the Alberta Climate Change office has released the qualifications for a full rebate.

For single individuals who earn less than $47,500, or a couple or family who's net income is below $95,000, a full rebate is available and will be received in early January 2017.

For a partial rebate, single individuals earning less than $51,250 and a family with two children earning less than $101,500 will qualify.

A full rebate for single individuals will be $200, $300 for couples, and $360 for a couple with two children.

The rebates will be offered upfront to offset the addition cost anticipated to lower and middle class families from increased fuel prices, natural gas, groceries, and much more.

In order to qualify for the rebate, your 2015 tax return must be submitted before the end of the year.
