A terrifying situation unfolded for an elderly woman near Didsbury on Monday afternoon.  (December 5th)

At around 1:45 pm paramedics showed up at a private rural property East of the Town of Didsbury. 

Somebody called 911 becuase they had found a family member with one of their legs stuck underneath the tire of a vehicle. 

An elderly woman believed to be in her 80's was getting out of a car when she fell.  The car then drove over her leg pinning her underneath.  She spent at least an hour alone and trapped in the freezing cold. 

The woman was flown to Foothills Medical Centre by STARS Air Ambulance. 

She is currently listed in life-threatening condition due to the injury and the extreme weather.
