An Extreme Cold Warning which hit Airdrie and surrounding area has ended.

On the morning of December 8th, Environment Canada issued the advisory for most of Rocky View and Mountain View County forecasting windchills that could dip below -41.

Although the warning has ended, temperatures continue to drop below the -20 mark with windchills hitting -30 or colder.

Environment Canada warns that more warnings could be coming for the next few days.
