The Facebook group Airdrie Dads successfully raised $20,000 for the Airdrie Lioness Club's Christmas hamper program.

The admins of the group presented a check to the Lioness Club on the morning of December 2.

"That $20,000 is going to allow us to give back to the community in a really big way," said Rhonda Auclair, President of the Lioness Club, "If there's any food that we need to purchase, we'll be able to do that without any limitations. We'll be able to fill the hampers with everything that is needed. And when there's a special little request on one of the hamper recipient's list, I think we'll feel like we would like to be generous because the community has been generous as well."

The Facebook group raised money any way they could for the fundraiser, from bottle drives to a silent auction on their Facebook page.
