A local family is hoping a memorial pendant will be returned to them soon.

On January 30, Rene Reutlinger left his work truck running while he ran into a 7-Eleven. His wife, Ashley Reutlinger, said when he came out shortly after, the truck was gone.

"As he was coming out, the truck was driving away. The truck has been recovered, but we had our son's cremation pendant on the rear view mirror, and that was not returned in the vehicle when they recovered it."

The pendant was a memorial to their son Emmitt, and contained some of Emmitt's ashes. Emmitt was born premature and suffered numerous health complications, and passed away at 20 months old. The family had a pendant made for him.

Ashley says it would be incredibly meaningful if it was returned.

"It would be like having our son home. There's a void with this pendant being gone...We're asking people to drop it off. You can take it into any Money Mart and just say, 'Emmitt, this is Emmitts," and they will know what to do and there's no questions asked."
