Former Airdrie MLA Rob Anderson published an open letter of apology on his personal blog on November 26.

In the letter, titled "Letter of Apology to the Wildrose", Anderson apologized to the Wildrose party for his part in the floor crossings that took place in 2014.

"My primary reason in writing you today however, is to ask for your forgiveness for my involvement in what transpired in the failed late 2014 attempt to unify the PC and Wildrose caucuses," Anderson wrote.

Anderson went on to ask for understanding and forgiveness for his part in the exodus from the Wildrose in 2014. The former MLA also appealed to the Wildrose to consider joining forces with the PC party to unite the right.

Anderson concluded the letter by writing, "My sincerest hope is that you, your staff and the members of your party can find it in your hearts to forgive me and the others involved on both sides, and that one day we can all sit together again as the friends we once were... and still should be."

Anderson crossed the floor twice in his political career, first from the PC's to the Wildrose, and then back to the PC's later.
