What was supposed to be a good will gesture turned into an assault and robbery.

Cochrane RCMP say that on January 21st a woman was driving on Highway 1 when she noticed a group of women standing outside their vehicle on near Highway 68.

Believing the women needed assistance, she pulled over but was later attacked by one member of the group and her vehicle stolen.

Police eventually recovered the vehicle on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation and arrested two of the four women involved in the assault.

Those two face charges of Robbery and Possession of property as a result of Crime.
