RCMP have confirmed that an earlier incident northwest of Airdrie has concluded.

Police had previously asked the public to avoid an area of Range Road 12 between Township Road 275 and 280, just west of Apple Creek Golf Course, while they investigated.

According to Cst. Dan Martin of the Airdrie RCMP, one man was taken into custody following an incident that involved a firearm.

RCMP have cleared the scene and Cst. Martin said no further details will be released.
