The City of Airdrie held the last of two information sessions on Multi Family Recycling earlier this week.

City staff met with building owners, managers, and condo boards to answer questions and provide information on various recycling options.

"We had good response, everyone seemed to be pretty content with everything I mentioned, and everything that went on." said Tracey Pagenhart, Education Coordinator, City of Airdrie.

Those in attendance also had the chance to network with some private recyclers and waste haulers.

Buildings will have the freedom to chose their recycling services provider, so as long as it meets the City requirements.

"That way they can cater their program to their specific building, because not every multi family property is the same, so these private recyclers have that ability to provide more of a customized program." said Pagenhart.
