On Tuesday, October 11, an orb shaped light was seen flying over the north side of Airdrie at approximately 8 p.m.

A man wishing to remain anonymous shared his experience watching the strange behavior of the flying object.

"It didn't seem to be blinking, it was solid in color and it was white, and as it approached it hung at the same height in the sky and didn't change it's flight path. I thought it may have been a satellite that was extra bright because it wasn't blinking and I see satellites flying high up in the atmosphere all the time."

The man said that what stood out about the object was that it did not appear to have any edges and the light was solid.

What happened next was what really made his hair stand on end...

"It slowed down in the sky almost to a stand still, to a point where I thought that it should be falling, and then it suddenly jolted forward again, not taking off like your accelerating in a car but jolting like a quick acceleration and then it slowed down to a near stop again. It did this about five times without changing it's path and without changing it's altitude."

The man is looking for answers and hoping someone else saw what he saw.

Although he may feel alone, Airdrie has had other reports of unidentified flying objects. For a list of sightings, visit the UFO Hunters website.
