Some exciting news came yesterday (August 15th) from the Airdrie Public Library.

"We've taken over the old taekwondo space, 1900 square feet," said Library Director Pam Medland. "The work is just about completed in that space and they're about to break through the wall between the taekwondo space and the existing backroom library space."

Once the space is finished, the Library will begin rearranging things and opening new spaces for kids programs.

"We're thrilled to get the additional space and what it has allowed us to do is to move our staff work areas into the old taekwondo space and the existing staff work room will be opened up [and] become a new preschool collection and story-time space."

Medland said that work is ahead of schedule right now and that the new expansion should be finished and ready to go by September 11th.
