One man has been arrested following an incident on Sunday, October 9 in the 400 block of Summerwood Place.

According to Corporal Susan Richter, Airdrie RCMP responded to reports of a disturbance.

"At approximately 11:30 this morning, RCMP responded to a call of a disturbance in the Summerwood area. RCMP arrived on the scene and after a time, we took a man into custody."

James Falkener witnessed the incident and says RCMP had the whole cul-de-sac blocked off.

"I saw a police car out on the road so I went out to look and I saw there were actually three police cars and two ghost cars that were blocking the road."

He says one of the officers went through the backyard of one of the homes in the neighbourhood and then a little while later, RCMP went inside another house on the street.

"When they came out, they were looking at a car that was parked outside and taking photographs and eventually, they got the homeowner to unlock the car. They went through it and it looks like they took some evidence out of there."

According to RCMP, charges for the male are pending.
