If you're wondering when the new Cooper's Crossing Shopping Centre will be finished, you won't have to wait much longer.

According to Ryan Darragh from the developer group Ron Mor, the new centre will have some openings in the fall.

"Our general contractor Elan is planning on being off the site in September. Our grocery store is anticipating opening in the middle of October."

Darragh points out that not every site on Cooperstown Promenade will be open by the fall to coincide with the grocery store. Other businesses are expected to roll in starting in September/October and into early 2018.

Despite the crazy weather that has hampered some building projects in the city, Darragh says that shouldn't be an issue going forward.

"The buildings are generally all enclose and weather tight. Most of the exterior finishes are done. Landscaping's going in so knock on wood, we should be in pretty good shape for a fall completion."

Darragh says the final project is reason to be excited for nearby residents.

"We're really excited on how it looks. We're pleased with the architecture and just the general feel of the shopping centre. We're pumped to get the amenity area open to the adjacent residents. We think it's coming together nice."
