As of this morning (August 10th), Rocky View County and the Town of Cochrane have issued a full fire ban.

The recent hot temperatures and dry conditions prompted both the County and Cochrane to raise their status from an advisory to a ban.

Under the fire ban, all burning permits are suspended and open fires such as campfires and charcoal barbecues are prohibited.

The exceptions to the ban include gas powered barbecues and stoves and household fireplaces.

As of today, the City of Airdrie an the Town of Crossfield hasn’t issued a fire advisory or ban.
