Despite winter making a quick and harsh appearance, it isn't time to put the winter tires on just yet.

Although the weather isn't ideal for the Thanksgiving long weekend, it will begin to warm up.

"It's not until Wednesday that, that cold air begins to move out and warmer air starts to infiltrate back in and we're looking at temperatures potentially getting up to the double digits," said John-Paul Cragg, a Meteorologist with Environment Canada.

Once the warm weather does come back, Cragg predicts it's going to be around for awhile.

"Hopefully Fall is going to return and that's what we're forecasting. We're forecasting a rise in temperatures and we're forecasting those warmer temperatures to stick around for a little bit."

Although the freezing drizzle and flurries made the roads tricky to maneuver, Cragg said the winter tires won't be necessary.

"We're look at the temperatures well into the double digits and those daytime highs, they look like they'll stick around until next weekend and even beyond," he said.

Although the seasonal Fall temperatures should be returning, Cragg said he couldn't predict how winter is going to look.
