The owner of a Calgary based trucking company that was involved in the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash in April appeared in a Calgary court today (November 9).

Sukhmander Singh who owns Adesh Deol Trucking had his case put over for three weeks to allow him to get a lawyer.  

Singh appeared in court accompanied by a friend this morning.  The judge was asked for an adjournment by the duty counsel lawyer.  The next time Singh will be in court will be November 30th.

Singh is facing eight counts of failing to comply with safety and log keeping regulations.  He was charged last month, six months after one of his trucks collided with the Broncos team bus in Saskatchewan.  The crash took 16 people's lives and injured 13 more, including Ryan Straschnitzki of Airdrie.  

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, the driver of the semi is facing criminal charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing injury.
