Airdrie RCMP are looking into the theft of lottery tickets from the Petro Canada on East Lake Crescent last Saturday (April 22).

Around 7:30 that morning, two men entered the store and approached the counter separately. The first man purchased small items but when the second man went up to make a purchase, he took advantage of the clerk not paying attention and managed to reach over the counter and steal an entire lotto ticket display unit. Both men then left in a black Ford truck. Police believe the men were working together.

The first man is described as Caucasian in his late 30's with brown hair in a Mohawk haircut. At the time, he was wearing a black sweater with white markings on the front, a red shirt and prescription glasses.

The second man is also described as Caucasian in his late 40's with short scruffy facial hair and a thin mustache. At the time, he was wearing dark sunglasses, a grey hoody, a white undershirt and a beige baseball cap.

The truck was a Black lifted Ford with aftermarket tires, fender flares, a black headache rack, chrome toolbox and small chrome brush guard on the front.
