It's a happy ending to a crime that tugged at the heartstrings of the Didsbury RCMP.

Back on October 12th, thieves broke into the property of a widow outside the town, stealing a Chevrolet S10 Truck, various rings and an wooden urn. The urn contains the ashes of the widow's late husband.

On Monday (October 23rd), Calgary Police recovered the truck along with the urn and immediately returned it to the widow, who was extremely grateful that it was found safe.

Police say that the rings that were also stolen remain missing.
