Airdrie Rural RCMP are looking for three suspects involved in a break and enter that turned into an assault at a rural residence east of Calgary and north of Conrich on November 17.

Cpl. Clint Chisan said around 4:45 that day, the owner of the property noticed something fishy going on.

"A homeowner at that site was in an outbuilding on the property when he noticed a suspicious vehicle in his driveway. The homeowner approached the vehicle and spoke with a female."

While he spoke with the woman in the vehicle, two men came out of the house and assaulted the homeowner with bear spray. The trio then fled in an early 2000's grey four door sedan in poor repair with a black roof and black steel wheels. Police were not able to provide a license plate number for the vehicle.

The homeowner was treated by EMS at the scene for the effects of bear spray and minor injuries. Cpl. Chisan said the man is recovering and should not suffer any long term injuries from the assault.

Police later confirmed that property was stolen from the residence. Cpl. Chisan was not able to confirm the extent of the theft, other than saying household items were taken.

The female suspect is described as Caucasian in her late twenties or early thirties with a thin build, shoulder length dirty blonde hair. The victim worked with a police composite sketch artist to complete a sketch of the woman.

One of the male suspects is described as black in his thirties, standing approximately 5'10" and weighing 200lbs. Police were not able to provide a description of the third suspect.
