RCMP have released more details regarding an extensive search warrant they carried out near Didsbury.

On June 8th, Didsbury RCMP along with the Federal Serious and Organized Crime Section completed the search on the rural property north of the town.

Cst. Hal Tunrbull with RCMP K Division explains what they found after the search.

"557 marijuana plants were seized together with a firearm and over $70,000 in stolen property was recovered including vehicles and equipment."

One man was arrested at the property and RCMP say charges are pending.

As of this time, police won't say what led to the search warrant being executed.
