With Uber poised to resume operations in Calgary as early as December 6, we took to the streets of Airdrie to see if the rideshare service is wanted in the city.

Reactions were mixed, with some expressing a desire to see the rideshare service brought to Airdrie, while others said they had never heard of the service.

"I don't really use too many taxis but I don't see why not," said one man when asked if Uber was something he would use.

"Probably not. I just don't use taxis that much. I usually walk everywhere I need to go. Everything's conveniant here," said another resident.

At the City Council meeting on November 7, the city decided to rely on Alberta regulations and standards when it comes to rideshare services like Uber
