Students and staff at George McDougall are still pedaling hard as the Ride Of The Mustang enters it's second half.

Earlier today (April 12th) several volunteers gave up their lids in the traditional head shave, marking the halfway point of the ride.

Nicholas, one of the students who participated explains why he does it.

"The people who go through cancer, they do lose their hair. I just chose that I might as well just shave my head to support the people who are going through cancer. Every year, it's a tradition to shave my hair."

Hundreds of students are taking part in the 7th annual Ride, including many from Ecole Edwards Elementary, who love the experience and say the best part is being on the bikes.

With the final countdown quickly approaching, student organizer Jen can't wait for the big reveal.

"We're super excited for closing ceremonies. We're really excited to see how much money we raised because we have no idea...it's a big surprise at the end."

The Ride Of The Mustang will officially wrap up at noon tomorrow, (April 13th).
