While it may not feel that way this afternoon, today (March 20th) is the first day of Spring.

The tradition known as the Spring or Vernal Equinox rolled in at 4:28 this morning, paving the way for brighter and longer days.

While the equinox holds a storied tradition, it's actually one of two official starts to the season. The Equinox is generally held as the astronomical start of Spring, while many meteorologists look at March 1st as their beginning.

Although today's forecasted high is only supposed to reach 0, the rest of the week is certainly looking spring like with highs of around 11 and 12 expected by the middle of the week.
