Few items were on last night's City Council Agenda, but one discussion took over the evening.

City Councillors were once again presented with details regarding Airdrie's Curbside Recycling and Clear Bag policy.

The majority of the presentation from Susan Grimm and Tracy Pagenhardt wasn't new to Council, but questions still arose.

Councillor Candice Kolson had concerns with the privacy bag allowed in the one clear bag, saying that there should be 2 privacy bags.

Mayor Brown continued to voice his concern for the clear bags, saying that many Airdronians are responsible with what they throw out and shouldn't have city crews see what's in their garbage.

He also asked if it was possible to look at whether the first year of the program should be a trial run to see if waste numbers will decrease.

Councillor Allan Hunter had many questions about the presentation, but mainly focused on his proposed Care and Compassion amendment to the policy.

More work is still to be done before the middle of March when the official Waste and Recycling By-Law is presented to City Council.
