With the Federal Budget announcement coming up, Canada's students wanted to have their say.

The National group CIVIX recently unveiled their results of the 2017 Student Budget Consultations, asking what High School students want to see with Canada's money in the next year.

Over half of the students surveyed believe that Youth Employment is an issue in Canada and needs to be addressed with 54% feeling somewhat confident they'll find a job in their field after graduation.

When it came to their priorities regarding the budget, 61% felt that spending should increase for environmental protection, while 51% asked for more spending for post-secondary transfers.

Hundreds of schools across Canada took part in these consultations including some from Ecole Francophone D'Airdrie.

You can read the full results from the Budget Consultations website.
