A tornado touched down north of Three Hills last night (June 3rd) causing some minor damage to some farms in the area.

According to a spokesperson for Kneehill County, one person was injured as well, although Deb Grosfield says their injuries were not believed to be serious.

The twister took the roof off of one farm building.

The tornado also set off another storm, this one on social media as many people posted pictures and video of the tornado.

The months of June and July are when most tornados occur in Canada.   Last summer, five tornados were reported in Alberta in four days.
