Greg Luterbach is one busy man these days.

The Rocky View School (RVS) Superintendent is working right to the end of this school term to make sure that RVS is ready for the fall.  He recently made three appointments of principals, and although only two of the chosen will be going to Airdrie schools, the third appointment also affects an Airdrie school community with a departure.

Luterbach has appointed Andrea Craigie to be the new principal of Herons Crossing School in Airdrie.  Craigie moves from her position of principal of Ralph McCall School which she's held since 2014.

Craigie is a veteran of RVS having served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in the jurisdiction since 1993.  She's served the school communities of Conrich, Ecole Airdrie Middle, Meadowbrook, R.J. Hawkey, and Ralph McCall.

Scott Bloxham will move from his current role as assistant principal at Bow Valley High School in Cochrane to become the new principal of Muriel Clayton Middle School.

Bloxham has served as a drama teacher at Springbank Community High School, Chestermere Lake Middle School, and Bert Church High before taking his first assistant principal position at Bert Church in 2014,

The appointment of Barry Anderson as principal of Beiseker Community School will also have an effect on an Airdrie school.  Anderson has been serving as assistant principal of Heloise Lorimer School since it opened in 2016.

Anderson joined RVS in 1996 as a science teacher at Bert Church High School.  Over the years, Anderson has served as an assistant principal at Kathyrn, Crossfield Elementary and Heloise Lorimer while teaching various subjects in the sciences, math, French and outdoor education.

All three appointments are effective in August.
