With the Provincial Election less than one year away, the United Conservative Party continue to build their candidates.

Today (June 20th) Party members will decide on who will represent them in the newly formed riding of Airdrie-East.

Current MLA Angela Pitt and longtime Broadcaster Roger Millions are vying for the UCP nomination in the riding.

On her Twitter page, Pitt said that she’s stood up for conservative values and compassionate policies since she was elected. She also noted that she doesn’t know how close the vote will be.

On his campaign website, Millions said that the livelihood of people in Airdrie has been threatened because of various measures put in by the NDP, which is why he’s running for political office in Airdrie.

UCP members in Airdrie-East can cast their vote at the Town and Country Centre today from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
