On Friday, September 16, as the sun goes down and the moon rises, take a moment to look up.
The harvest moon will be especially close tonight, making it appear as though it is a 'supermoon' that will be notably brighter.
Although scientists say in Airdrie we may not see the orange glow, it will still be a spectacular sight.
In addition to the harvest moon, there will also be a subtle lunar eclipse that can be seen from Africa, Asia, and Australia.
