An update to a story that was last covered on December 1st on Discover Airdrie. 

on a rural property in Delacour in Rocky View County and have determined it to be fentanyl.

AHS said that, based on photo evidence from the property and information from the RCMP and Health Canada, they have confirmed that fentanyl was being produced at the property.

Several other agencies were called upon to assist the Airdrie- Beiseker Integrated Rural RCMP Unit which led the search of the rural property over several days and located a drug-lab with a variety of technical chemistry equipment, chemicals, solvents, and a substance that, at the time was unidentified and sent to Health Canada for identification.

Two men, a 33-year-old from Delacour and a 21-year-old from Abbotsford, B.C. were charged with the production of a controlled substance along with other charges.
