A violent crime spree, which started on Thursday, September 8, has resulted in two individuals being charged by the Airdrie RCMP.

Shortly after midnight on September 8, 31-year-old Serena Liversuch and 33-year-old Dana Motyer were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.

They were then released pending court.

That same day, around 4:30p.m., a stabbing incident took place at a motel located on Edmonton Trail where RCMP found an injured male. RCMP suspect it was Liversuch and Motyer, who fled the scene.

They moved on to a restaurant somewhere on Main Street where they were confronted about paying and according to RCMP, Motyer is alleged to have assaulted the manager and then left without paying.

As the two made their way into Calgary, Airdrie RCMP informed Calgary Police Service of the incidents and at around 9:40p.m. that night, they were arrested when the Calgary Police received a complaint of a stolen vehicle.

Liversuch and Motyer have been charged by the Airdrie RCMP with Forcible Confinement, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery and Uttering Threats.

They are scheduled to appear in Airdrie Provincial Court on September 29, 2016.
