Vulgar graffiti has been spray painted on the side of an Airdrie school.

A resident who lives in the area of C.W. Perry School noticed the vandalism on Monday morning.

The east side of the school was tagged with two crude images and an offensive message with red spray paint.

A woman who lives nearby says she was sad and disappointed to see the graffiti while out for a morning walk with her dog.

Rocky View Schools echoed the disappointment in a statement provided by Communications Officer Erlene Gococo.

“Rocky View Schools is aware of the incident and has notified the RCMP. We are very disappointed that an individual(s) would choose to deface one of our schools. Maintenance staff is onsite managing the removal of the graffiti as quickly a possible.”

Air 106.1 has reached out to Airdrie RCMP for comment.
