You might expect that with the recent frigid weather in Airdrie that a lot of people would find their vehicles with mechanical problems and dead batteries and needing a tow or boost because of it.

However, according to one Airdrie towing company, it's pretty much been business as usual during the cold snap.

Jeremy Milloy, a Supervisor with ATR Logistics, says they haven't seen wait times growing much longer during the brisk weather.

"For us it's probably within two to three hours so it's not too bad.  As far as volume of calls again it's not so bad.  Nothing really major."

Milloy says while they've been steady they haven't noticed a dramatic increase in calls.

"No, not much of an increase.  Our drivers are steady but nothing backing up."

The week ahead holds good news for anyone who's had car problems, or anybody who just hates the cold.  By Thursday, Environment Canada is forecasting highs of plus 2 and overnight lows of just minus 7.
