There are some disruptions to waste and recycling pickups coming up. Collectors will not be working on New Years Day.

With no collection on January 1, a number of neighbourhoods will need to take waste, recycling and organics down to the curb on January 2.

Residents of Airdrie Meadows, Edmonton Trail, Jensen, Old Town and The Village can expect their regular waste pickups on Tuesday. Edgewater, Ridgegate, Summerhill and Waterstone will also see their regular pickup of waste and organics the same day.

With the modified schedule, residents of Luxstone, Prarie Springs, Windsong and Southwinds will have both waste and recycling picked up. Fairways, Stonegate, Sunridge, Woodside, Reunion, Williamstown and Silver Creek will have their recycling collected, while residents of Coopers Crossing, Hillcrest and Morningside will need their green bins, blue bins and garbage bags at the curb.

Collection will begin at 7:00am, and due to the extra collections could last until 7:00pm.

There needs to be one meter of clearance around each bin so that automated trucks can access the bins during pickups.
