Update:

Cochrane RCMP were working to clear a single vehicle rollover on Highway 1A on September 22, three kilometers west of Morley Road.

The accident occurred around 1 am, with emergency responders finding the vehicle on it's roof on the north side of the highway.

A female from Stoney Nakoda was found trapped in the drivers seat with two male children ages 3 and 4 trapped in the rear of the vehicle.

All three occupants were extricated and taken by ambulance to Calgary hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 1A was impassable during the investigation and but was re-opened shortley after 10 am.

All possible contributing factors related to this collision are being considered, and the collision remains under investigation.

Cochrane RCMP say the westbound lane of Highway 1A is closed due to a serious motor vehicle collision 3km west of Morley Road (Highway 133X). It is anticipated to remain closed for a couple of hours.
