The overnight snow and winds have impacted road conditions around Airdrie, Calgary, and southern Alberta.

511Alberta reports that the QE-2 north and south of Airdrie is partly snow covered.  Highways to the east are experiencing reduced visibility because of blowing snow.

Stoney and Deerfoot Trail in Calgary are both reported to be snow covered and icy.  Stoney Trail has reduced visibility.  West of Calgary the highways are all reported to be snow covered.  Highways to the south of the city are reporting reduced visibility in blowing snow.

Snow plows are active on all highways and you're being urged to drive to the road conditions if you must travel.

Conditions are expected to improve as the wind diminishes later this morning.
